Hello, I’m Dr Marina. I often hear that my most valuable qualities are my genuine warmth and ability to create a space where people feel comfortable embracing their authentic selves.
In our first few sessions my aim is to provide you with the space to explore your concerns with curiosity and safety. We will discuss the change you are seeking and what matters most to you.
Together we will develop a shared awareness and understanding of the factors that maintain your challenges. This may also involve making connections between the present issues and childhood origins.
Whilst working with me, we are likely to evaluate the function of your thoughts and behaviours, and how they may (or may not) serve you in overcoming challenges and creating a life that is meaningful to you. Together we will explore strategies to help you respond more effectively to your emotions, and to empower you to break unhealthy patterns, cultivate self-compassion and to nurture new approaches to create long-lasting change.

1. Initial assessment (1-2 sessions): I aim to make you feel comfortable, heard, and safe whilst we explore and discuss your concerns, their context, and your history.
2. Session 3-4: We collaboratively work through a formulation/case conceptualisation so that you can better understand the factors contributing to and maintaining your difficulties. I’ll recommend a tailored treatment plan incorporating one or several evidence-based therapies.
3. Session 4+: We work through the treatment plan, evaluating and adjusting as needed. This is likely to include practical skills and strategies you can practise and use in between sessions.
Fees & Contact
I provide in-person consultations at 28 Wellbank St, Concord, NSW 2137 and practice via Telehealth (online or by phone).
Consultations are 50 minutes and cost $250. A Medicare rebate of $141.85 is available with a GP Mental Health Care Plan (resulting in an out-of-pocket expense of $108.15 per consultation after your rebate).
